About Us
We are a Christian sports organization specializing in basketball introducing young athletes to Christ while developing their athletic skill set and strong core values as well as mentoring and guiding young people to a better and positive future. Bringing the inner-city and suburban kids together working towards one common goal “unity”. We strive to provide our players with high-quality experienced Christian coaches. LCA is operated by Otis Lanier , who has over 25 years of experience in basketball combined as a player, coach, and running basketball programs on all levels. Coach Lanier, the son of a Pastor grew up a Christian his entire life and enjoys ministering to the youth. Also, he has been in education as a teacher/coach for the past 7 years along with starting LCA back in 2014 to extend his passion to reach the youth and minister through his love for the game of basketball. The LCA Elite basketball program forms teams that participate in select showcase tournaments, hold clinics, and run skill sessions and development programs to help inspire athletes to reach their maximum potentials. We hold bible study sessions with the kids which is also open to the parents and the public, also we pray before and after workouts. We provide mentorship and help strengthen parent and player relationships through the teachings of the Holy Bible. We focus on serving local communities to inspire and spread the gospel.
To guide coaches, athletes, and parents to grow and strengthen relationship with Jesus Christ our Savior and give All the Glory to God. Athletic participation helps our players grow, learn, and enjoy themselves while they use and develop their personal, physical, and intellectual skills. LCA values the lessons that have been taught by athletic participation: the pursuit of excellence thru personal development and teamwork, ethical and responsible behavior on the court and off, adherence to the spirt of rules as well as to their letter, leadership and strength of character, and sportsmanship respect for one’s opponents, acceptance of victory with humility, and acknowledgement of defeat with grace. In teaching these lessons to the youth aligned with the Holy Bible scriptures, LCA instills habits which will lead players to live better and healthier lives. While winning is not an end in itself, we believe that the effort by our youth athletes to be their best will lead them to succeed throughout their lives according to the word of God.

The individual growth of our community’s children is enhanced through the spirit of competition, discipline and fair play. These goals will be accomplished by providing structured programs designed to educate both participants and parents in all aspects of the sport and the teachings of the word of God. LCA is committed to providing youth programs that maintain the highest standards and guarantees a fun, positive experience for everyone involved.
